yeah, and whats worse is that I sent my primary to a bunch of them...haha. Who needs money. My fault for not checking though, just assumed it was 3 years from application across the boards.

But, hey, Ill just have to let you blaze the trail here and glean any insight you gain from your interviews (already 2 now?)...I think this will be a great cycle for you!

Assuming my interviews aren't a big blur I'll definitely post my experience and what questions I got asked. I've heard that DMU is pretty straight forward.. stuff about your app, ethics, etc. But I was reading on SDN that AZCOM asks random stuff too like "What kitchen appliance would you be?". Really? How do I even begin to answer something like that when I'm already nervous and not thinking straight?

As always, it's my goal to give advice based on what I've read and gone through personally. It might be blunt and not what people want to hear, but it's always true to the best of my knowledge.

I hope they don't ask me that question. I would definitely say something dumb.

I also heard that they put a group of pre-meds in a room give them a problem to solve together. The admissions committee sits outside and watches them solving the problem.

So I just got an email from RVUCOM saying that due to the competitiveness this cycle they have decided not to interview me but best of luck in my future endeavors. I have to admit, I am shocked and saddened.

That's not good news. I'm sure you'll get tons of interviews this cycle. Consider it their loss.

Yeah I thought my stats were pretty good, especially for that school. Oh well, like you said its their loss. I just wonder how crappy they thought my essays were or what. Lol

sGPA 3.32/cGPA3.45 30O
Not killer, but good enough for AZCOM (at least an interview lol) so I'm happy.
Plus a DO letter from a general surgeon. And some others that I think are pretty decent. 800+ hours volunteering half in clinical settings. I'm not a shoe in anywhere I don't think but I was just shocked by RVUCOM's outright rejection.
Honestly, it's a good thing because I need to be prepared for a LOT of rejection. Lol

They usually get some quirky thing that they look at in apps like coursework that non trads have done/not done. I know they did that to myself and a few other people last year. Oh well, you have other interviews to worry about.

Sounds stupid but I have come to hate weekends. There is no action from schools and I am left to trolling SDN with nothing to look forward to until Monday.

Unfortunately I'm trolling SDN pretty much all week since I'm already graduated and just working. It's kind of sick actually. Lol
