anyone know if/when programs go on a break during christmas/new years time? i ask b/c i need to have surgery done which will require about 10 days recovery (adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, septoplasty). i dont have time during the next few months and figured some time late december would be a good time if there is such a break in interviewing. thanks.

it seems like you'd be safe if you get it done around dec 21st. 10 day recovery puts you around new years

Right before t-giving isn't a terrible time either because RSNA is immediately after it and few programs interview during that week because many residents and attendings are gone.
