No, most don't. Iowa always has the most movement of any school. However, I think they don't overaccept to begin with (as most schools do) so it's just a different way of doing things. If nothing else, they will never accidentally overfill the class like Kansas did last year, and that's probably a good thing.
 
nope.......i emailed brenda on thursday to see where she was on the list but no response =/
 
i take that back, i emailed her on WED.....
 
At least we haven't got the dreaded "The class is full" email! :xf:
 
I'm going to email her Monday again if we haven't heard anything. Hopefully, she will respond!
 
The admin office has reduced hours in the summer she is probably not ignoring you guys, just may not be in🙂
 
they're still on 65. next person to be called is 66.....she said the list has slowed down......

I emailed her Tuesday but haven't gotten a response. Others should email her so we increase the chances of getting a response.
 
I called and spoke to her a few days ago. She said she has no more calls to give and won't have any until currently accepted people drop out. Aka, the class is "full." She is still on # 65 or #66.

So yeah. My hope = gone. 🙁

well i emailed her this Tuesday and she emailed me back on Wednesday and said someone had just withdrew and she is still trying to fill up the class. and they are on 67! maybe there is some sort of hope?!

She just emailed me saying they just called #68. I guess right now my only option is to stop fretting about it. :xf:

I haven't posted in a very long time....but for any of you still waiting to get off the waiting list I was 80ish (can't remember my exact number) and I wasn't called until July 13th and I know a couple more people were called after me. So don't lose hope 🙂

On a related note, I was recently accepted to Colorado State (although I will be choosing Iowa) and I wasn't even on the waitlist. they said something about making the waitlist way too short this year. So, like skkyy said, don't lose hope!:xf:

Hey All! Good news, the waitlist is moving! I am ranked number 71 and just got the call! I turned it down though bc I was pulled off my instate waitlist a while back... so number 72, you are next!!!! Awarning, I have my fingers crossed for you!

So at least two people before me will accept their spots? I hope there is more than two spots left!!
 
Brenda emailed me saying that she just called #72 so there is only one person in front of me! I want to be super excited but I am not going to let myself get too carried away. Just because the outlook is seeming to be better does not promise anything yet. :xf:

I think you will probably get called tomorrow or sometime next week. Even if you don't get called by next week try to remember that it's only the beginning of July. I would almost guarantee that the WL moves at least a couple more spots by the time classes start.
 
Hey, I'm not nearly as active on this network as others, but I will say the interview questions posted here were very helpful! And I am also a member of the facebook group...we'll be meeting eachother at orientation I'm sure. Can't wait!
 
just wanted to let everyone know that i got my email friday....but i had no idea since i was on a mini-vacay at the river. brenda called me this morning on my way home luckily just in time when i got reception on my cell.

Hopefully I will be seeing you all in Ames. It is so close I can almost taste it. I kind of want to start looking for housing but I don't want to jinx myself too badly. 😀

I have no ties to Iowa, but I've been watching this unfold and I just wanted awaring and kateliz to know that you have people rooting for you who have probably never commented on this thread before. I'm one of them, and I have my fingers crossed for you both. :xf::xf::xf:

That said, I saw awaring's post this morning and I thought it was good news! Argh!! I hope the call comes for both of you soon!
 
Does anyone know if the list has ever stopped this early before? Classes are one month away and I am literally freaking out. All of my co-workers ask me EVERY DAY if I have heard something from Iowa yet and it is becoming a mental mind trip. My boss (vet from UPEI) thinks me getting in is a sure thing so she always jokes about it, but I am pretty much a mess.

Right now I am the next person on the list. I haven't gotten any sort of call yet and it feels like the class is pretty stable. 🙁 Each day without a call breaks my heart a little. I know that if I don't get called in the next two weeks then I won't be going to Iowa. I don't think I can afford to miss the first two weeks of classes (which is the latest they can call me.)

So dear any OOS students in the c/o 2015... I will bake you a batch of delicious brownies each week for the rest of my life if you decide that ISU is not the best fit for you. Promise.
