My biggest concern was the lab coat is that the coat for the white coat ceremony? Like I have my one from chemistry still and it's in fine shape but nothing fancy.

No, everyone will get a white coat for the ceremony. Dr Howard will probably email you guys separately for that.

how do we go about picking the right size for the white coat? SAVMA bookstore representative said to go off of the size chart on Landau.com for the lab coat, but unsure if this refers to the white coat as well?

In past years they have been the exact same coat, your "fancy" one is just embroidered with a vet med symbol on it! So you should be safe to use the same size for both (i.e. size chart on Landau).
