I know practicing surgery is very rewarding since you get to really make a huge impact on people's lives. However, what I am wondering is do you guys find it fun? I know many of you believe it is very rewarding (which is of course should be), but how much fun do you have performing surgery? I am a pre-med by the way and just want some insight into how it feels day to day.

Lucky there's more of the former than latter for me.

Depends on what you consider fun— and you’ll find that out in medical school. What is fun to me as an Orthopaedic surgeon is definitely not fun for a radiologist, etc.

It is fun if you succeed on every operation but if not, you will feel terrible.

Idk if this is a good example, but imagine if you were to make a table and it goes super smoothly and your final product is sturdy and looks good. You'd probably look back and say "Hey, that was fun! I should make more tables." If it went very poorly and your table can barely stand on its legs, you would probably be more frustrated than think it was fun.
