I am in my semester of my program and planned to take one of the prerequisites for medical school this semester. But what happened is that my full year course decided to change it's class time and because of that it overlaps with the pre-req I am trying to get into. Because of that my school is not letting me join this course. Would it be looked down upon if I did organic chemistry over the summer while preparing for the MCAT?
Is it ok to take prerequisites for medical school in the summer on a partial course load?

Is it even possible to prepare for the MCAT while still taking o-chem? If I'm not mistaken, you'd have to not only learn the o-chem for the MCAT, you'd also have to self-study biochem, which would require already knowing 0-chem.
