Yeah, i hear understanding is not important on the USMLE... 🙄

Im not sure if streetdoc feels looking at a diagram of a bug being shot out of a cannon contributes to "understanding", but if you truely want to understand it, then there are several 1000+ pages of micro texts you can use for understanding. For the USMLE though, I read MBMRS, micro cards (which I thought were very good), FA, knew the charts cold from MBMRS, and had the Kaplan lecturers come to our class and video Kaplan online. I can tell you all you really need, especially if pressed for time, are those charts from MBMRS and FA. No way of saying for sure, but I dont think I missed a single micro question. If you want to add to it, I recommend micro cards, nice little clnical vignettes, and well organized info on them.
However, if the pictures help you in MBMRS help you (and they do for a lot of people) then make sure you look those over. A crude drawing of a bug getting run over by a car never helped me or contributed much to my understanding though. Im sure you will do well with however you prep, and good luck!

i know what you are getting at, CUBuff, but this poster may have no background or a lacking background and would spend countless hours strictly memorizing random facts. it will go much faster and stick better if there is a frame to put that stuff in. that's all i was saying....
best of luck to the OP!
