Is the NBDE I, and/or II, Computer adaptive test

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
yes both of them. even part 2. i just cleared part 2
Hey r u sure about this?
Because what i understand about computer adaptive testing is you cannot go back n forth while answering .. ie once u select ur choice it is locked and u cannot return to change the answer. but, this does not happen with NBDE Exams.

Please clear this.

I just did the NDB step 1 and this was not my first attempt. Last time, which was last year, raw score was 233 (out of 400), which gave me 74. I honestly don't think I will answer much more than 233. Does anybody knows if this "scale" has changed since April 2010 last year? I mean for 13 months, are students making better where you need to answer for example 250 questions right to get the passing score of 75?
Last time I received the score report in about 13 days or so.. I hope this has not changed this year
Thank you guys

Yes U are right,we can go back and we can change the answer. I dont think we can do that in a computer adaptive test. So I guess its not a CAT-never heard of that.

I don't believe Part-1 is a computer-adaptive test. I took the exam and found out that the questions don't get progressively tougher. Also, as someone mentioned, you can go back and answer some questions so thats one more thing against it being a CAT.

Also, the afternoon (2nd) section on the Part 1 had a 1-2 questions which were the EXACT SAME ONES as they had been on the morning section!

I haven't taken the Part-2 yet but I do know that one can go back and change the answers in that exam too.
