me neither. i think i will try to call tomorrow and ask when they expect to pull some people off the list. i asked them a few weeks ago and they said they still didn't know when they would begin. maybe they have a better idea now.

I called this morning. I was told that they haven't begun taking students off the list yet and that they will begin sometime in June. (That's pretty nonspecific, seeing as how today is May 30.)

Yeah, I'm about ready to throw in the towel and commit elsewhere... I'll call too and see if they can't be a little more specific. :wink:

Hang in there y'all... It's only been 2 weeks since the big day!

If this year is anything like years past, people on the upper portion of the list have a good chance of being admitted.

The powers that be usually don't move the list much until June/early July. It's still very early in the waiting game, so if you're still interested in Hopkins, don't give up!!

Good things come to those who wait.

OK--- I milked the admissions office for more info today. They are going to begin admitting people from the waitlist THIS WEEK.

I also asked if it is necessary to send updates anymore, and she said it would no longer have any bearing on our application.

Waitlist movement has started today. I was accepted via telephone from Dean White.

Looks like there's gonna be a lot of movement, from the impression I got over the telephone.

Good luck CaliBoy and everyone else. Congrats x10 LizardKing! With your stats and your waitlists, I'm not at all surprised you were the first to hear.

I had a long talk with doepug today (thanks again, man!), and he all but convinced me to go if I get in. So I guess I'll be hoping for that phone call when I'm not sitting around in my cap and gown this week...

Incendiary, I didn't get any indication how much waitlist movement will occur this year. However, I got the feeling there was gonna be significant movement as they expected acceptees to move very quickly in making their decisions. As far as deferrals, I am not sure that's an option at this point. I'll find out though.
