This week I read that Wall street is curbing young bankers hours to an 80 hour/week limit for “junior investment bankers”, and that entry level salaries for these junior employees can reach $200,000. This 80 hour cap is in line with some states limits on medical residents. What I was wondering is what exactly do junior or senior investment bankers do in a typical week?

Based on watching Margin Call and The Big Short I agree with airbud.

My brother went to an ivy league in NY - a lot of the people on this path started the journey well before college. Almost no one from my podiatry school went to a name brand college. Being a B-C student in biology from nowheresville U isn't the path.

Yeah, prep school, Ivy League, family connections, smart....let's do podiatry. Nobody said that bro.

I considered being an NFL quarterback but decided against it.

Interesting perspective

So your brother is an investment banker?

Yeah I had a great gig at Goldman Sachs making 500k/year but my passion for onychomycosis lead me to change career paths. Super glad I did.
