I have been doing KAPLAN part II for the last few days. After 200 Qs I am scoring 94%!!!

Break up

Endodontics Breakdown ( 90% Overall)

Operative Dentistry Breakdown ( 91% Overall)

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Pain Control Breakdown ( 100% Overall)

Oral Pathology and Radiology (Oral Diagnosis) Breakdown ( 100% Overall)

Orthodontics/Pediatric Dentistry Breakdown ( 94% Overall)

Patient Management Breakdown ( 100% Overall)

Periodontics Breakdown ( 97% Overall)

Pharmacology Breakdown ( 91% Overall)

Prosthodontics Breakdown ( 100% Overall)

Looks too good to be true. Is this course too easy? Do others who have done it & taken the real part II test find it good for prep or is it not up to the mark?? Any suggestions? Experiences?

Which is the best online course to take for this test which simulates the actual exam conditions? Please advise.

Omar - You are doing good. When I started, my scores were low and toward the end they were high because I had memorized many of the ?s. Fortunately for me, I had several repeat ?s on the boards, so that was helpful. This is an excellent prep for the test and the ?s are realistic to what the test is like. Good luck! BUT BEWARE: lots of my ?s on the board I had never seen anywhere in all the matls I had, so be prepared for that.

Hey

Thanks for the info. I have 7 yrs experience on clinical dentistry in my country. Many of these Qs are clinically based & I am able to apply my clinical experience in them. The text books & decks/1st Aid/texts dont help much. The decks themselves are very easy.

RPD Qs are difficult because I have experience in acrylic partial dentures (interim dentures) & have no exposure cast partial dentures in practice. Also, oral surgery & ortho are a little troubling because of less clinical exposure to these since we had specialist back ups in our clinic.

Any advice on polishing these aspects of the exam.
