Just out of curiousity, how many of you are sick of hearing from friends, family, professors, colleagues, "You should definately get in somewhere, you're a shoe-in..."? Don't get me wrong, support is great to have, but what if I DON'T get in? It seems like it will be all the more dissapointing. Especially the prospect of telling all the afore-mentioned people that I was indeed NOT a shoe-in.
Sometimes I think it's better to have low expectations and then end up pleasently surprised, than to be confident and then have everything come crashing down around you. There are times when I think I want to punch the next person who tells me I will "Definately be accepted"...
Is there anyone else who feels this way or am I going crazy from anxiety?
