Hi everyone,
I've been roaming through threads for a while, and have ran into a road block. I currently am trying to determine the importance of maintaining a leadership role in the arts and sciences student council at my school, or if I should leave the student council after this semester and join a lab. After this academic year I will have a full year of this leadership role with no other officer positions on my resume. My schedule is too packed to contain both activities. Would medical schools prefer one over the other? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you absolutely can't do both and you have no research experience, I think it would valuable to join the lab
