Hello everyone,

I am a senior considering medical school. My undergraduate degree is a BSN, while most of my science prerequisites will have to be completed post-baccalaureate. Although I already have several FNP applications submitted, I would much rather work harder and matriculate into a DO program. Everything seems to be progressing well for my BSN degree. I worked hard as an autodidact for the DO prerequisites during these past few years. The only problem that holds me back is my learning disability and my struggle maintaining proper syntax, spelling, and grammar in the heat of the moment.

Is this going to be a permanent barrier for being successful in medical school?

If you want something bad enough, you'll do whatever it takes. I redirect your question to you (and not in a snarky way).. is it a permanent barrier for your success? It is if you let it, otherwise it's not. Everyone has a struggle of some kind. Only you can decide if you will allow yours to hold you back.
