Awesome! We need to hang out with you, you seem to be the only one that knows what the heck is going on! Haha. I bet we are all staying at the same hotel too, it was the cheapest one on their list of hotels with discounts, the first one on the list I believe. I'm super excited about this interview...

Very, they called 2 people on thursday and they apparently expect to be accepting people up until the first day of class according to Annette. We'll see what happens.

Lecom-b third year here.

Fly into Sarasota (SRQ) if you can. It's usually not too much more expensive and WELL worth it. For those on a crazy budget, the Econo Lodge isn't terrible, for an econo lodge...good luck!

That must be driving you nuts, I'm not sure I could handle that kind of pressure . I also like the idea of meeting up at some point outside the interview time. I'm probably going to be arriving in the area in the early afternoon, how about everyone else?

Its absolutely the worst thing I've had to deal with in recent memory. Its nerve wracking knowing that I've gotta keep filling all these applications out and that I could potentially get a phone call. Worst yet is that it could happen all over again this year. God I hope thats not the case. After the first acceptance I am going to have such a weight lifted off my shoulders... not to mention I won't be stressed and get back to lifting weights

Same here. They probably got my mcat around the 3rd. Emailed them today to make sure they aren't waiting on my August mcat. My May mcat score is good, so I don't want them to wait until September. Glad to hear I'm not the only one wondering why I haven't gotten a secondary yet.

for those of you that got interviews was there any change in your required credits section before you are offered the interview. I got one at erie and my required credits section looks different than my bradenton one. It has all of the things I am either complete in or deficient. I just never saw looked in that section before I got the interview so I was just curious.

Nope. I used to powerlift when I was in school. I destroyed my back doing T-Bar rows with ~400lbs. Since then I've gone from 220lbs to 185lbs and haven't been lifting heavy. I could still probably squat ~315 right now for 1 though but it'd be pushing it My Squats and deadlifts took the biggest hit

i am not complete at either school i still havent given them my letters,but i have interviews at both. It doesnt matter if you have everything in as long as you turned the app in.

Er... not so much. There's nothing organized through the school, and I couldn't tell you exactly why that is. There are student "ambassadors" who'll answer questions over lunch on your interview day, but that's about it... plus the few of us who hang around SDN.

Come to think of it, I can't remember student hosts being an option anywhere I interviewed... so while it's a nice option, it's far from universal.

Ya, I think best chance for student hosts is to find a current SDNer who is going to be a first year who would be willing to let you crash on a couch. You could always try last year's thread and see if anyone would be willing. I'm just going to suck it up and priceline a hotel or get a hotel from the list

My situation is completely opposite. I'm getting no love from Lecom-B. I've been complete since 6-25 and already have an interview at Lecom-e

Not sure but they seem to have a fairly lengthy waitlist. Someone in last year's thread mentioned that the waitlist is close to 200 people or something, not sure though. I can tell you I got interviewed and not accepted last year (well... not yet... technically I've got 10 more days to hear from them)

Check out the interview feedback part of the forums. The questions on there are very very similar to what you'll hear on interview day. I'm not really super nervous about this interview because I've been through it once before. Mine was fairly laid back. Why DO, why medicine, strengths, weaknesses, what are the specifics of your research, what do you like to do outside of academics, what is your familiarity with PBL, what is your familiarity with OMM, etc.

Are you being serious? If so, is do some serious reading up on LECOM-B and their style of PBL. Plenty of descriptions to be found in the various Lecom-B threads, many posted by me. Go digging and do some reading.

seriously? You need to do some reading up on LECOM and teaching like Digitl said before interviewing at LECOM. Its an entirely different cirriculum than you will be used to and something you really have to buy into if you are going to succeed there.

I was wondering how long it took your status' on the LECOM-B portal to reflect that you had completed your Supplemental Application. I submitted mine yesterday morning, got an email saying they had received my payment and my Supp App, but my status still says it has not been received. Like everyone else said. There is a long waitlist. They told me a few years ago that they accept/waitlist 750 before getting their final class. This was back when they were really new though.

I called bradenton today to verify they recieved my mcat score a few weeks ago, and the lady I spoke to said they don't even have my application.

How is that possible when I've received 7 secondaries from other schools and even got an email from bradenton in June. I'm hoping the lady i spoke with was unsure. She said to call back Monday and speak with the lady who deals more with the applications.. she is currently on vacation.

Hoping to clarify all this and hopefully get a secondary soon! It's frustrating..

I was wondering if any of know whether LECOM-B will soon offer the Primary Care Pathways program like LECOM-E does? I am very interested in this program, but would not be too excited about living in Erie. Any other schools besides LECOM going to fall in line with a similar type program within the next two years?

The only number I've heard from the admissions folks is that for my class, the class of 2013, they got ~3000 primary apps for 150 spots. No clue about number of secondaries.

Watch out, this next part is all speculation and math, so take it for what it's worth: They interview 12 people/day, 2x a week, for ~30 weeks (August until sometime in March/April, minus holidays and finals week). That would come out to somewhere around 672 interview spots.

They told me a few years ago that they accept/waitlist 750 before getting their final class. This was back when they were really new though.

They ended the interviews a few weeks earlier for the class of 2014 than they did for my class. I assume that's because more people accepted the offer to come to LECOM-B and they had a full wait list ahead of schedule. I don't think they even interviewed 750 people last year, but that's just an educated guess. Definitely wouldn't surprise me if they had to accept that many for the first couple of classes though.

If there are any plans to do this at LECOM-B, they haven't told us students. Bradenton seems to be happily remaining a PBL-only campus, without the other tracks available at Erie.
