Lenth of PCOM secondary

PCOM suggest you write a brief essay on why you want to become an osteopathic physician and why you want to go to PCOM. How long is brief? My essay ended up being 780 words!! 🙁 Other secondaries have specified 250 words. Any suggestions?

780 sounds a bit long...but maybe call them and ask. I just looked, mine was 392...and I was worried mine was too long.

My essay was about 450 words. I think it maybe better to try and get it to one page single spaced at most.

I applied last year for the Fall 2004 class and was accepted off the waiting list. My essay was 382 words, which came out to be about 1 page at 1.5 spacing. I would say you really want to try and keep the essay to 1 page at the most. Good luck.
