I was on Red Mountain Pass about a month ago. Went to Wolf Creek a week ago. And for now the snow has stopped in southern Colorado. But hopefully we will be getting a big storm Monday pm and Tuesday. Too bad however cause I'm off to Hawaii for the Big Wave surf competition and hopefully to catch some waves myself. The snow will be here when I get back.😀

I tried skinning up Hood today. Snow flurries pounding into my eyes. And surprisely little snow as high as 7500. On well, next week?

Only one run open was open at Heavenly on Friday, which was the only resort in Tahoe open then too. Still, so much fun. Great, great weekend.

Sure guys, rub it in. It's like 75 down here.

but 19 and snowing like hell back home. The webcam says 24" over the weekend and "lots more to come"

I may just go directly to the mountain from the airport, to heck with Mr Orthonut. He'll just have to go to work anyway.

I went water skiing in the morning and windsurfing in the afternoon here in Miami's Biscayne Bay. Never even left my own back yard. Does this count for skiing? So happy to be in the Miami program there are no words.

I spent 4 years of my life almost exclusively riding up in summit county (keystone, a-basin, loveland pass, breck, copper, vail, etc) - got to love that buddy pass for $250= 4 mountains to choose from. I can't wait to get back up there. I hope this year is as good as last year. For right now I have a pass to a 700 vertical drop hill in pennsylvania. So far... no sign of snow. Grrr...... My new 159 never summer Evo doesn't know what snow is. I sure miss the rockies. Hope to be doing a lot of regional at the base of some mountain some day..... say.... Vail would do. :horns:

700 vert! OUCH! how do you like the NEver Summer. Oh sorry you haven't had a chance to ride it yet. Well , let me know how yo like it after a few times out on it. I just got a Unity Dominion splitboard 165. Can't wait to get it out in the backcountry.

Check out surfnewsnetwork.com It's more reliable than surfline. It might be better to wait 1-2 months, catch the Eddie Aikau tournament. You gonna be surfing the contests or just for pleasure?

oooh! I see from accuweather it's warmed up to 17 back home....

Yeah... 700 vertical drop is a joke (two parks and pipe does help a little). Neversummers are great snowboards. Lot's of flex and extremely durable compared to other boards out there. I've snapped or cracked burtons, sims and world industry snowboards- never with a never summer. I highly recommend them. 👍

quick question--how often do you get to go skiing during anesthesia residency?

I went about 40 times last year. I scheduled all my intern easy rotations from dec. to march. I was also hitting the slopes at night and post call if I had at least three hours of sleep. Having a hill about 30 min. away is always a plus.
