So, I applied to a bunch of medical schools but three of them are, as of now, clearly my top three choices. I haven't quite hammered out the order of the three, but I am fortunate enough to get to interview at two of them and I haven't been rejected from the third yet, so I'm holding out hope.

Anyways, I just interviewed at one of my top choices on Friday and I interview at the other of my top choices this coming Friday. My question is this: can I send a letter of interest to both schools without making it sound like they are "one of many" choices? The letters will be sent post-interview. I want to make it clear that I am VERY serious about going to these two schools, and that if accepted, there is a very good chance I would go. Both are close to home and in the upper midwest, both offer programs that I find incredibly alluring, and I would be happy at both. I haven't decided, if accepted to both, which way I'd go yet so I don't want to mess around with a letter of intent. Would a letter of interest matter? And how could I say your school is "one of" my top choices without making it sound hollow or meaningless? Would I be better off not sending letters of intent? Any input would be appreciated - thanks guys! 👍

I don't know if a letter of interest or a letter of intent would matter (it seems to be school-dependent), but I'm quite sure you don't have to mention whether a certain school is your very top choice of one of the top choices. Just write why exactly you like that school, no need to place it anywhere in comparison to others.
