Hey guys,

2 of my letter writers are PhD's and full time lecturers at my university but are not considered "Professors" yet. For their title on AMCAS I put their title down as "Dr." Is that fine? @Catalystik @gonnif Do you guys have any idea by any chance?

PhD (ie “dr”) is an academic degree
Professor is a position / rank

Btw, its common not to use “dr” but just PhD
ie John Smith, PhD,
lecturer in chemistry

Sorry for maybe wording the question wrong, but my question was intended to be more geared towards selecting a salutation for the letter writer. I selected Dr. instead of Professor and was wondering if that would work appropriately?
