Going to be living on my own for the first time. What should I have?

I'll be living with a roommate in a university affiliated housing.

Hopefully the place is furnished.

So far...
- Microwave.
- Coffee maker machine. (lol)
- Tea maker machine. (idk the name of this)
- Sound system.
- Laptop / computer.
- Fridge or mini-fridge for room.
- Bookshelf.
- AC or heater unit depending on how much control I have over the housing's unit.
- Alarm clock.
-

Pillow
Bed linen
Towels
Cleaning supplies for bathroom & kitchen (unless you have maid service)
Dishes (bowl, mug, plate)
Spoon, knife, fork
Glass containers with plastic lids that can be used for microwave cooking, eating and food storage.

Spices and seasonings beyond salt and pepper.

Many unis like mine give you at least a mini fridge with a microwave but you probs wanna check that with ur uni. Apart from that you'll need coins for laundry if your schl doesn't have free laundry machines. Ear plugs and fan... some unis have a.cs that turn into heaters at a threshold and then it can get quite stuffy so you need a fan for airflow.
Air freshener
Headphones
Shower slippers, esp if using a shared bathroom
a back-up USB or hard drive. I though upload my stuff on the cloud.

Don't get a Kuereg. Get a French press. Better and cheaper coffee!

A toaster-oven is crucial, and not the one with slots for bread but a mini-oven type

An alarm clock

Laser defense system to use against those burglars

Now you know why students take out loans. Parents find it hard to pay for all of this.

Band aids and triple antibiotic for cuts and scrapes.

Tylenol, Tylenol pm, and nyquil

Why do people get banned on these forums?
Just in general...

You forgot about mattresses and pillows. You need good quality mattresses for comfortable and nice sleep.

I think the OP might have been on another thread looking for someone to help break in a mattress. 😉

Haha I hope your serious, because that is seriously funny. That's much easier at Uni, not SDN
