So when we're inputting the hours for our EC's in the AMCAS application, how would we describe something we've done for literally 17 years. In my case, I've practiced a certain martial art since I was about 4 years old, and began instructing at about 16; I'm 21 now, so I'll have 17 years total and 5 years teaching under my belt.

Obviously, I'm not going to say "10,000+ hours" or some outrageous estimation like that. So how would I, or someone in a similar situation, put this in? Thanks!

That's actually what you should do. Put down max hours, and your description will put that in context. I did about the same thing for dance (also ~17yrs) on my app!
