Haha no snow, it's like 70 degrees here. It's a major tornado warning.
Well, that works too. lol. That moment where your thunderstorm wants to just mess everything up!

Right?! I want to know how much snow is over there! Kind of glad I didn't get an interview invite. lol.
Well to be fair, usually when a university closes in the middle of winter due to a storm, it's safe to assume snow. Louisiana is just a weird place lol.I just didn't think about a tornado cause February is the only month of the year western Nebraska hasn't had a tornado. lol. I forgot MS is more in line with tornadoes any time.
Safe and sound 🙂Who is all from NOLA? Are you guys okay? Please check in.
Safe and sound 🙂
I believe there were a few water spouts spottedDoes anyone know what's going on by Ponchartain? Heard there was a giant tornado out there.
y'all, a girl I know who interviewed at 11 am today said that they had to cancel afternoon interviews. A guy came in to the waiting room and said they are going to try and reschedule first or second week of March for those interviews, but we will probably not know if we are in until April. I really hope they can figure something out, and let us know quicker. D:
Does anyone know what the status of OOS decisions will be? Are they going to be affected by the IS interviews having to be rescheduled?
didnt you get accepted to MSU too as OOS? 🙂
I suspect they wait to announce all at once because there seems to be 10 flexible spots that can go either IS or OOS. The portal says 65 IS and 15 OOS, but they said it could be 55 to 65 IS and 15 to 25 OOS.

Lol, if it makes you feel any better, it sounds like the IS pool got most if not all the 65 seats the last two years. So, I'm not holding my breath that they'll give those ten seats to OOS-ers.Darn OOS'ers taking the IS spot numbers down!! Lol

I think it's a fair question. Please let me know the answer if you do ask lol, I'm going to lose my mind with the waiting over here.Do you think it'd be wrong for me to email and ask if interviews that have already happened will have delayed decisions?
Given that interviews are 10% of your total score, it's not unreasonable to think they may have some decisions already. BUT, I would also suspect they will announce all IS at one time. Who knows. Best of luck!I think it's a fair question. Please let me know the answer if you do ask lol, I'm going to lose my mind with the waiting over here.
Appreciate it!I emailed. He usually gets back fast so I'll let you know what's up!
The storm you all had yesterday has arrived.
It sounds so awkward if I try to say it. It just flows a lot better with your accents down there and sounds really cool!Um, if you're gonna live in Louisiana, it's y'all now. 🙂
Don't worry, you'll pick it up! 😉It sounds so awkward if I try to say it. It just flows a lot better with your accents down there and sounds really cool!
Ahh. That's frustrating. Did he give you any idea of what the new timeline for admissions looks like, or no?Okay, I spoke too soon. Jared just got back to me. Over 30 IS interviews have to be rescheduled before the committee can even meet. So it's gonna be a while. Wish I had better news guys. Let's keep busy!

Gotcha. Thanks for letting us know!He could not, but said decisions would be going or as quickly as possible once the committees met.
Are there any current LSU OOS vet students that can reflect on how easy/difficult it is to get residency for Louisiana?
I keep doing the same thing!I swear, I hate myself. Everyday I check the portal at Jared's recommendation, everyday I see it gets updated, everyday I still manage to see the "Congratulations!" Part of my original interview invite and nearly fall out of my chair. March is going to be a very, very long month for me. 😕
Hi everyone,
My gf accepted her offer from lsu Svm and we are currently looking for pet friendly places to live. We found what looks like an amazing place in lake beau pre but don't know much about the area. We don't want to live where all the undergrad students are partying or where there is high crime (obviously) but this home search is like the blind leading the blind. Do any current students know about the lake beau pre area or have any suggestions on pet friendly places where other vet students live? Also is $1450 for a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath reasonable? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much.
