Anybody having lunch problem in medschool like me?

what do u eat for lunch?

u cook or go out?

I am veggie.

How can you have a lunch problem? You can eat whatever you want for lunch.

I usually do one of three things.
1. Usually I eat lunch at home=either cooking or leftovers
2. Go out
3. If I go to lecture then I go to a meeting/conference over lunch so I can get free food😀

I always utilize them! And then leave early....😀

If not possible, then I just have to pack my own stuff...a sandwhich, muffin, fruit, bagel, etc etc whatever tickles your fancy.

I am veggie.

I'm a vegetarian too. I usually prescribe to the "snack all day" idea rather than three full meals. I'll bring a sandwich to eat during lunch break, but other than that, I usually have fruit of some sort, carrots, crackers/pretzles, and some other snack; I prepare it all the night before. Then whenever I'm hungry (usually ends up between lectures) I eat one of those.

Seriously, you ought to be old enough to figure this out. Wow, you are going to be a physician 🙄

Bring food, eat it.
Go get lunch, eat it


The only way this should be an issue is if you are on rotations during 3rd year and cant get free to eat. Then, bring a snack and eat when you can.

Lunch problems can typically be countered in one of two ways:

1) eat something

2) wait until dinner

Some people try 3) asking an anonymous internet forum for advice. Those people scare me.

Medical students get a huge discount at the adjoining hospital to our medical school which has several vegetarian selections at each meal. Of course, it made sense to bring snacks and things to munch on while we were studying. Unfortunately for me, this usually meant Nacho Cheese Doritos which have nothing redeeming in their composition.

I usually make an extra serving of whatever I'm having for dinner and bring it for lunch the next day. Its saves me time and is better than what they serve in the cafeteria. I have food allergies so I usually can't eat the free lunches that everyone loves so much and I'm guessing being a vegetarian has similar limitations. In M3 I haven't been cooking as frequently, trying to make a big pot of something on sunday night that will last most of the week. So instead I've been making wrap sandwiches to bring for lunch which has been working well too.

I eat vegetarian during the week (meat free weekdays) and I pack a PB&J sandwich every single day. It has protein from the peanut butter, fiber from the bread, and sugar from the fruit preserves (jelly). It's perfect, fills me up and helps me stay focused. I switch it up with different fruit flavors too.

#2) Or someone could have said "you have time for lunch?"...But a good clinican knows hypoglycemia can lead to weakness, malaise, malaise, lethargy, sweating, confusion and headaches..

I am getting ready to prep for my lunches for the week.

If I can find some pretty healthy free options at school that would be awesome...classes start tomorrow 😀
