For those who are licensed in Massachusetts, how long after taking the jurisprudence was it until you were officially licensed? I've already taken and passed the EPPP and MA has received those scores. I received notice that my licensure application had been approved and I could schedule my jurisprudence, which I took today and passed. I am wondering how long until the state certifies my license as official so I can finally start private practice work. Thank you!

I didn't get licensed in MA, so this information may be unhelpful. However, after I completed all the steps you described/completed my required post-doc, I reached out to the board correspondent the day after passing the jurisprudence to inquire about next steps and received my license the same day. It never hurts to reach out for a timeline!

It was a long time ago and things may have changed, but I just checked my records and I took the MA Jurisprudence Exam on 1/26/2006, and my Licence was issued on 2/6/2006. Not a very long gap at all!

ETA- forgot to say Congratulations! Best of luck to you. There's going to be a job open (mine!) in Western MA in a few months!
