Yes it was conversational. They make that clear during the presentation the day before the interview. That being said I couldn't help but to be nervous lol. They certainly are not trying to intimidate. Very laid back interview!

I was very impressed with how friendly everyone was throughout the entire interview process. It really seems like they're one big family, which is perfect to have when going through something as challenging as dental school!

Does Marquette just send out acceptance emails?
Anyone here familiar with the area? On zillow I see that a lot of houses are for sale for super cheap and am thinking it might be better in the long run to buy vs rent. What have you guys decided if accepted?

I would be wary of investing in real estate, it really depends on the neighborhood. If the properties you are looking at are north of campus (bounded by Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, and Wauwatosa, and all along W Fond du Lac Ave and I-43 in this bounded area) I definitely would not live there. That area has extremely high crime rates and I have heard repeatedly from people who know the city that it isn't safe at all. Also, pretty much the entire area surrounding campus to the west and south is pretty bad crime-wise.

What would be a good area to live in? You just named all the areas surrounding the school as unsafe lol.

If you really want to be safe, the suburbs are the best bet, like Whitefish Bay, Oak Creek, Brookfield, etc. Depends on how far you want to commute or use public transport. You might meet some shady people on the buses, though, but it is a big city so it's kind of unavoidable. Or you could live near campus and take your chances, just be wary.

Does anyone know if they will release acceptances at midnight on December 15th or if they will be calling people throughout the day?

I keep hearing that the AADSAS portal gets updated at midnight. Has anyone else heard something similar? I have to work on Tuesday and I'm debating staying up Monday night.

Last year my AADSAS status didn’t change until I got my waitlist email around 8:30 am CT

Are you a D1 at Marquette?

No. Unfortunately it’s very difficult to get off of the waitlist as an in state student because it’s the only school in the state, and they only offer 50 in state seats.

Got a call 20 minutes ago! In-state. official emails come out later today and letters later this week.
