SDN,
I'm currently an Army officer and had a question for the group. During college, I had little desire to become a doctor, before I had some experiences in the military that completely changed my perspective.
I didn't do well in my Chem/Physics classes in college because it really wasn't a focus of mine at the time... maybe a B average if I can recall correctly.
I do have the ability to get a fully-funded Master's degree on the Army's dime. I see this as the only real opportunity for me to not have to get out of the military to complete the necessary pre-reqs for Med school. Would you recommend I pursue an "easier" Master's degree and take the prereqs on the side, or would it be more beneficial for me to pursue a M.S. in Biology (or another science)?
Also, college was 6+ years ago so I would really need to refresh myself in the sciences.
Thanks for the input. To make it clear, if I already had the pre-reqs and this wasn't a free option, I would not pursue a M.S. degree for the sake of getting another M.S. degree (I have a M.S. in Personal Finances).
