Hey guys. I need advice.

I have already applied for General Surgery programs for this match. I was intending to apply to Internal Medicine/Family Medicine but I had to unexpectedly delay my Step 2 CK exam, scheduled for October to November. That means my scores will arrive pretty late and many programs must have already filled their interview spots.
Also, if i needlessly apply and don't match due to late availability of scores, it will go down in my record as 'unmatched in 2015-2016 match'?
The question is what would be the sensible thing to do: should i apply or not?

I wouldn't.

Trying to match within different specialty spectrums- especially spanning from medicine to surgery- never looks good. Many a program director can't stand seeing their potential residents throwing out applications for different specialties. Srs.
