What do you tell someone who wants to take more advanced math classes but scared of not getting A, hence lower science gpa?

Pass/No Pass might do, no?

Is math apart of science GPA?

What "textbook" is going to tell me math is apart of my science GPA for medical school?

Science = BCPM for GPA calculations

B = biology
C = chemistry
P = physics
M = math

This is for US MD schools. I think US DO schools don't count math as part of science GPA. Need to defer to @Goro @gonnif on that one

If a math course is 3 credits and you need 120 credits to graduate, each 3 credit course you take contributes a maximum of 12 grade points out of a possible 360 grade points if you apply at end of junior year. In that scheme the difference between a B+ and an A is 1.98 grade points divided by the 90 credits you've taken meaning that it moves your GPA down by 0.022. That's about all you need to know. No one' is going to be trashed by a 0.022 point decline in GPA.

Do it after you get an acceptance/application
I was literally gonna do the same thing with this one,tough engineering class required for my BME minor.

To tell you the truth I can never keep those straight either
It's literally an acronym for convenience....
XD
but you aren't involved in MD admits anyway, so that's understandable XD
DO just uses all science classes and no math, which is awesome for some people.

If you really like math, take them. I initially majored in something easier, but I'm so happy I eventually switched to math. I loved it, and getting my degree was fun. I didn't get an A in every class, so there are a couple Bs, but they are not going to kill my chances at med school and were way more fun and interesting than taking some boring class I wouldn't have cared about.

I say take it. Math helps logical thinking skills, which everyone needs. You will not have this chance to learn whatever you want in a long time.

I really enjoyed math, and its many variants. I took higher level math for both the GPA boost and just for fun. Not sure which class you are referring to though. If it's calculus, I'd get my study guide / support ready well beforehand though. Khan Calculus, PatrickJMT & StudyPug Calculus Tutor are some tools I have on standby to make sure that I get to study calculus properly.

but like earlier posts, don't do it unless you are sure it won't affect your GPA negatively. maybe go through the aforementioned lessons first and see if you are up for it.
