Anyone else unable to even login to the MCAT registration page?
are you sure that you have the correct date?Do they REALLY mean it when they say that nothing has sold out? Cause my first choice testing center says no seats available! Do I grab my second choice to have a seat on that date (haven't checked if they're available though), or wait until tomorrow if it really is a snafu?
wow, after 8 freaking long and frustrating hours, I finally was able to register![]()
APRIL 7TH, 2006 - let the fun begin......🙄
Phoenix1- Did you select your first choice testing center before, get kicked back, and now can't get it?Do they REALLY mean it when they say that nothing has sold out? Ack! That's absolute death to the servers. That's probably accounting for a lot of the performance hit.My tip for anyone still suffering: once you get a loaded page (the map, the payment page, etc.) open up a number of windows and keep reloading the same address. Once one of them connects to the next step, close the non-working windows and repeat from there.
That's the logic that gave us global warming. But I understand you frustration. This probably doesn't help the congestion on the server at all, but screw it--you deserve to do whatever you want after wasting a whole day of vacation just to spend $210 bucks on a huge stressful test that you don't want to take anyways.
go figure, it finally reload 😕 On my last "refresh".
I'm registered! 😀
Congrats! I saw you were on since the wee hours as well...I'm registered! 😀
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! 👍 Congrats! We're going to take Ellen's word, and with that, i'll say..
I'm registered too!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! 👍 Congrats!
I say that all of us old enough to imbibe should go and drink 😀
I'm registered. Only took me approximately twice as long to register for the MCAT as it will for me to take it.
How long did it take you guys for the map to search seats. It's been at least 5-10 minutes so far!
it says that there is a seat available, but when it goes to the payment it says that there is longer a seat left.
i feel bad for you guys who have been at this all day. i just started and i'm already frustrated.
After hearing the complaints about the map loading time, I never tried. Just click to search for a site by state. It's a link under where you'd enter your zip code. I clicked my state, and then a list comes up of all the testing sites in your state. Much faster, apparently. Luck.
It appears that the pace is indeed picking up.
Two sites are full on April 7:
261 SHEEP DAVIS ROAD
CONCORD NH
4815 BURNING TREE ROAD
DULUTH MN
Looks like about 1000 have successfully registered, so far.
I thought the reporting time was 30 days with the CBT? Did anyone else notice in their confirmation email that the reporting time was listed as 60 days?
*sigh* at least you're getting that far.I keep losing it at time of payment. When I log back in I have to start over again.
Arrghhhh!
I think I did it! I got a registration confirmation page (no e-mail yet)!
Did it take anyone a long time between getting to a confirmation page and actually getting an e-mail?
I printed out my confirmation, and logged back into my MCAT account and I'm still registered.
One more thing. Even if your payment doesn't appear to go through, check your email. The website never responded to my "payment," and I just got a blank page for a long time, and then it reloaded the page with my credit card information again asking me to pay. Meanwhile, my email said I was registered. So, don't rely on seeing any expected response on the web site. After you click "pay," check your email before deciding it didn't go through, even if nothing happens.
