In my state, you have to be accepted to the md program and mph program (you have to apply to both). The MCAT is required. To apply for the MPH program, the GRE is not required. I guess it is different from state to state, also.

I've never heard of a MD program in the states that does not require the MCAT. I have heard of MPH programs that do not require the GRE (you can substitute the MCAT instead). Maybe you had the two mixed up?

All medical schools require the MCAT unless you do a combined BS/MD program, in which case you will probably be ineligible from a dual MD/MPH track since you'll be in the process of pursuing another degree.

7 years. BA - 3 years, MD/MPH - 4 years of med school + summer/evening courses for MPH. Not a bad deal.

Maybe not a bad deal, but it sounds like a miserable 7 years. Unless you really really like school.

okay. sounds like a perfect match for you🙂
