If you have two doctors one an MD the other a DO in the same allopathic residency, does being a DO put you at a disadvantage compared to the MD when it comes to applying to fellowships?
 
Depends on too many factors to say. What fellowship? What residency? What kind of research has either of them done? Important people in that field associated with their residency willing to go to bat for them and make phone calls?
