My recruiter has been telling me to not include some not-so-important medical stuff in my HPSP application, because he thinks my record is too big and I'll get DQ'd based on the size of it. His commander told him "just stop processing that, it's too much work". According to him I"m not lying about anything, which is true, but the paper also says "failure to disclose information counts as lying". Most of the things aren't major or automatic DQ'ing factors so it shouldn't be an issue. However, there is one condition I have that is DQ unless waiver is granted.
I've come to realize that I have to do this if I want the scholarship, but my recruiter failed to give me any sort of straight answer about possible consequences, both immediate and long-term, of "not disclosing" information. Does anyone know what these may be? And should I leave out the automatically DQ'ing condition, or try for a waiver? They won't go looking for this condition or be able to test for it unless I tell them.

Personally, I wouldn't want to compromise my integrity to get a scholarship. Don't lie and don't leave anything out that may DQ you. Go for the waiver request.

I'd love you to PM me the name of the recruiter if he/she is Army.
