Turns out I can't be one as I originally thought and I told some schools that I have interviews with I would be working as one. If i can't find another way of becoming a scribe, how badly do you think this will affect my application?

If they ask you about it in an interview it could look really bad. If they don't then it won't matter.

I can probably find another way to become one.

Not sure where you are located, but I'm on the east coast and I worked as a scribe in an urgent care clinic. We have a lot of them opening up, and they just require a bachelor's and interest in science. I think becoming a hospital scribe requires a little bit more. Hope this helps.
