The number of people signed up is already at capacity by the last acceptance wave in February. Don't worry though, if you plan to attend MCG, you're not really missing much. Orientation week gives you the same info as visit day.
 
What's the best way to find a roommate/housing at MCG? Do you just ask in the GroupMe, on Reddit, etc.? What are the areas where most med students live? On-campus or off-campus housing?

I sent it to Augusta bc my reasoning is it’s “MCG at Augusta University,” but I’m gonna call or email tomorrow to confirm. I’ll post an update here if nobody has posted an answer by then!
 
Do we know approximately how many students are accepted from the waitlist? I’m curious if there’ll be much movement for people below the first quintile
 
i ran some napkin math and if we assume MCG interviewed exactly 600 applicants and accepted exactly 260 students and all other interviewees accept a spot on the waitlist then each quintile will have 68 students 😭😭 is that promising??

If this cycle was anything like last year, they most likely overaccept. I think it was 400+ acceptances for the entire class of 304? The quintile thing is def new tho, so that at least gives you a good idea of whether you’ll get off or not. Last year, WL movement was very sparse bc more people committed off those initial As. Cycles can vary tho! I have heard that some cycles go deep down the WL whereas others grab a handful. Keep the hope up!

Varies by cycle tbh. MCG used to have a pretty high WL movement, but last year it was really low. Prolly just due to med school getting more competitive overall and more people committing to the As they gave out.

I just called MCG admissions to confirm how to send transcripts through Parchment. Here's what they had to say:

When searching for their school, select "Augusta University Formerly GRU, MCG, GHSU & ASU." It doesn't show up immediately, but keep typing out "Augusta University," and it should appear. It did for me, anyway. 🙂
