This is going to make some fellowship trained DPM, stuck in a dead end PP job, cry tonight on their pillow.
I guess it works both ways. I was more gearing it towards those of us who aren't fellowship trained (you know just 3 years of training) who get these ridiculous questions. Although i have not been asked if I'm fellowship trained yet by these patients, I routinely will get the following:

-How many years of school does it take to cut toenails?
-Can you polish them now?
-Can you round out the corners for me?

What patient on earth is going to ask if you are "fellowship trained"

Lol, you have no idea how aggro the kids market these days.

I've seen all kinds of crazy ways to put Ivy league names or big hospital names on signs/web/linkedin/etc... when their mediocre or VA residency had maybe one loose affiliation with those names (or they did a week/month at one or whatever). We all know how hard the youngins pimp "orthopedic" and "ankle" and "surgeon."

Our market is saturated AF - for both jobs and for trying to attract surgery patients in most areas.
