I felt the same way... it was really hard once I finally did get the interview because it was like 2 months after I was accepted to Mercer, but I couldn't be happier that I came here instead.

but yeah... we are awesome. lol

For all of those people that have already had an interview at Mercer, I have a question 😀

In order to minimize costs, I'm planning to spend only one night at a hotel (checking in on thursday, checking out on early friday morning). This will require me to have my luggage with me while visiting Mercer. Do any of you know if I will have a place to store my luggage on campus while participating in various intervew-day activities?

It all depends on how small ur luggage is. u may be able to store it neatly in the corner at the conference room where everybody will be seated. But make sure u arrive really early so you don't feel kind of awkard coming in with ur luggage. For me I'll feel better coming in with my luggage with 1 or 2 people already seated or even nobody. It all depends on u anyway. all the best!
 
I have an interview with Mercer in about 3 weeks. They are my number one choice. :xf:

I wouldn't worry about it... if you email the admissions office and let them know you will be bringing it they might have a place set up where you can leave it. They're really nice so I doubt anyone would even mind if you just showed up with it and explained your situation. Maybe they would allow you to keep it in the office during the interviews so you wouldn't have to worry about it sitting out in the corner somewhere. That's about the best solution I could think of. I'd definitely email first and get there a little early though just so they're already expecting it and can figure out a place to keep it. Right before the interview time people are getting checked in and everything so they might be busy.

What about asking the hotel rep to hold your bags until after the interview? One of my friends did this a few weeks ago at an interview.

I actually had luggage with me as I flew in from New York. When I checked in with the admissions office, they let me put the bag away there (interview/meeting is in another room). They are used to people traveling with luggage. Was super convenient, and you don't have to worry about rushing back to the hotel to get your bags before catching your flight.
 
12/03...here i come!! I searched online and found a motel near Mercer (about 37 sec away from Mercer!!!!). Its name is motel8 or something like that...anyone is gonna book the same motel??? We can practice interview questions😀

yeah i think that is the one down the street, but off of the interstate and across from a waffle house.
 
Mine interview will be on Dec 3....

my student interview was pretty chill, but the faculty grilled me

some others said that their faculty was chill, but the student wasnt

i guess it all depends on luck and who you get

Chill, laid-back atmosphere is what i felt today. Everyone is so friendly.
Now, only the PCAT and lacking of degree is my obstacle to be accepted!:scared: Overall, i think my interview went well. However, everyone else look so better than me jajaja.

I just got my invite for the 21st of January!! This is staring to be an issue. I have an interview almost every weekend in January now...ugh. I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I just want to know where I'll go and then start planning!!

Me too! I got my jan 21st interview invite a week or so ago, and I'm super psyched for the interview! I've already gotten nervous jitters from just reading this thread alone, haha =P

I actually ended up canceling the interview with South University... I was accepted to my top two choices (Mercer and UNC) and the South interview was on the same day as one of my finals anyway.

Which school did you like more? I actually considered applying to UNC but waited too long and missed the deadline.
 
Does anyone have any idea how many spots are left? Also, for the most part, are they more considerate of applicants interviewing earlier rather than later. I know it's a rolling admissions, but how does it work? Do we just get placed on the alternate's list if we don't make the initial cut? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I am considering this school. Should I apply, is it too late? Even if I get an interview, are my chances slim to get in here?
 
Just finished the interview today! There were a lot of people there, because of last weeks snow/ice. Everyone was friendly and welcoming; it was a very relaxing atmosphere.

I hope everyone gets in! 😀

Mercer will interview all the way up until and in May. They received over 1,000 applications and interview roughly 400 potential applicants. Class size is 145. The associate dean did mention it is late to apply now in the cycle but you can still turn in an application and hope for the best.
 
I applied last year around the end of January and I interviewed in February right after last year's snow storm so there is still time.

Hope everyone enjoyed their interview... I did see a lot of people there today in the cafeteria when I went to the ATM. I wasn't aware that there were canceled interviews from last week... we didn't have class for 4 days because of the storm.

It was actually the first interview that was a little different from the norm. No essay and a mingling session; everyone enjoyed these two.
 
How is the first year Tinkerbell? From what I got at the interview yesterday, everyone said the P2 year is the hardest because of CARDIO. :laugh:
