Hello everyone!
hope everyone’s interviews are going well. I got accepted into Midwestern CCO and was wondering if someone can help me understand their current accreditation, and what that would mean for me as a student.

So I know they are in the process of getting accredited. What exactly does that mean for me as a student? Will that affect financial aid? Should I be concerned?

I really love everything about the school, and want to get excited about my acceptance, but I’m just worried.
Thank you!!

As a current CCO student -- It literally means nothing for us. The faculty is amazing and working very hard on meeting all the requirements and making our program the best it can be for accreditation. We're just brand new and thats why it hasnt happened yet. This year is the first year we have all 4 classes enrolled at once. Every new school had to go through this at some point and I really do not think its a big deal.

We have an amazing hand picked staff and faculty. A super caring and respected dean. And we have our sister school in Arizona that we work with on our syllabus and can refer to if we ever need anything. PLUS I think a huge factor is that we are part of a huge multi-disciplinary health care university. We have a head dean and work with the university as a whole to have all the proper requirements and meet policies. We have a medical program. pharmacy, dentistry, OT, PT, PA, vet school, psych program, masters program, podiatry, speech language, nursing, public health and MORE. Do I really think that accreditation is going to be an issue? Not a shadow of a doubt.

CCO is amazing and I am so so happy here with my professors, classmates, and the education they give us. We're all just one big family and we jokingly call Dean Suckow our mom. There are so many campus wide events and resources (like a learning specialist, amazing therapists/counseling program, etc) that are all available to us. Choosing mwu was probably one of the best decisions I've made.

Does anyone know if CCO is still in the accreditation process or if it has been accredited?
