Yes this also happened to me. I got accepted 12/19 and have yet to receive it. I emailed the second week of January and they said it was "late due to the holidays" but this seems extreme. I think I'm going to reach out by the beginning of next week if I still haven't received anything!

Planning to attend Tulane 3/15 as well - keeping the program in consideration, though know little about it.

Who knows. Maybe they'll wow me with a phenomenal day. And it's very unlikely to be that cold in March. This winter has been pretty mild up until this week. Hopefully we bounce back to our balmy 40 degree temperatures soon!

Ok…it’s been such a relief to see folks on here keeping it real about finances. Even though I wish I could choose my school based on more exciting things like research, location, etc., I went into this knowing affordability is going to end up being my main deciding factor.

With that in mind, I tried to play the long game with scholarships. I applied to 10 schools (not a very affordable move in and of itself!!) all offering scholarships specific to my interests/experiences. Here are my stats and my luck so far. Let’s hope February brings us all some good news!

Undergrad School: small liberal arts college (graduated 2016)
Undergrad GPA: 3.68
Major: Public Health
GRE: V: 164 (94%), Q: 157 (65%)
Experience/Research
- environmental health research through CDC fellowship (2 years)
- case manager/health educator at syringe exchange/homeless shelter (1.5 years)
- public health preparedness assistant @ local health dept. (6 mo.)

LOR: 1 from current research supervisor; 2 from former professors

Interests: Health disparities specific to stigmatized groups (prisoners, sex workers, PWUD)

Applied: Columbia (sociomedical sci); Drexel (community health and prev.); BU (community assessment, design, implementation, eval.); Harvard (health and social behavior); JHU accelerated MPH; Berkeley (health and social behavior); U of Michigan (health behavior and health ed.); UMN (community health promotion); WashU (generalist) UNC (health equity, social justice, and human rights)

Accepted: Columbia; Drexel (+25k Dean’s schol.); BU (+15k Dean’s schol.); JHU; Michigan; UMN; WashU (+50k Dean’s)

Rejected:
 
In at Dartmouth today as well!

Does anyone know anything about TDI from first hand experience? I feel that the fact that it's an IVY league school and the lower tuition is the biggest things going for it - and I'm not sure how much the name will carry me.

I'm a practicing pharmacist looking to go into health policy in the government sector. How much does where you go to school matter, especially for an online program?

That CDC fellowship is always going to lead to +$$$$$, congrats! What type of env health are you interested in? I'm moving into that field and looking to study food security.

Same here! Heads up to all, I guess Dartmouth wants us to let them know our decision by March 1st.
 
I'm a little disappointed in trying to ask GWU for a travel stipend for a scheduled visit on Feb 15th. I was told it's only available for admitted students attending their official admit day on March 23, which I can't make due to a prior commitment made early last year...
 
I just emailed admissions, but does anyone know if Columbia offers travel reimbursement for their Admitted Students Day? Or accommodation hosted by current students?

When I called last week, they said that they don't 🙁 They don't have student hosted accommodations either unfortunately.

I was SO SHOCKED. It was 5:18 pm and I saw SPH Admissions as the sender and freaked out. I’m not sure if it’s bc MCAH is a smaller department but after they’re email earlier this month I totally thought it’d be mid-feb at the earliest.

Their admit day is Monday, March 18th though! Hope to see you there! 🙂

I haven't heard back yet, but I applied on 1/5. They sent me an email stating that my application would be reviewed after the preferred deadlines so I don't think they started looking at any applications until 1/15. Best of luck!
