I got in for the same thing too! I would call Emory and talk to them.
Also, if you were accepted in Emory, which one would you choose?
Sorry to reply so late to this! I am really trying not to get too attached to any one school until I hear back about scholarships/financial aid. I loved Columbia when I visited back in the fall: the rigor of the core curriculum is appealnig to me, there's really cool research going on that aligns with my interests, and the location is a huge plus for me! (I have family in the city and surrounding areas). However, I think it would be tough for me to justify the price tag compared to other equally great and more affordable options like UNC and Emory. And Emory and UNC both also have the big plus of proximity to public health organizations that would make for great practicum experiences.
I am definitely one to over analyze and overthink decisions, so I am already mentally preparing myself for the month of agonizing over this with all kinds of spreadsheets and pros and cons lists come March/April
