I saw that too! But, my OPUS still doesn't have a decision on it!
Nevermind, my friends that got accepted last year said they didn't get their decision until March...so it still might be a good amount of waiting.

I honestly have to say that I have had an amazing experience with the advisors at UC Berkeley, no other school has tried as hard to call every week or so to check up and see how I am doing and to ask if I have any questions and now I get an email saying they are offering me $500 in travel funding to visit them?! I think I'm in love 😍
Heard from Tufts that their last admissions committee meeting is next week, so we should be hearing back soon if we haven't already. They might just not have gotten to us or are still debating our status. Fingers crossed!
Dear Jesus. I applied early, too! When did you apply? Which concentration? How did you find out? Sorry with the questions, but since I'm on a roll, what is the meaning of life?
Edit: I can read, you're nutrition.
Got an email from UNC-Chapel Hill today. No bueno. It was a sort-of-nice rejection (directly from the department I applied to), but I'm sure it was a generic explanation. I'm still crossing my fingers for those that applied there- their program is incredible! Hopefully all you guys hear better news today! After all, we are all in this together!
I am a bit curious about the financial process for Columbia's MPH and UCLA's MPH program. I haven't heard anything about the scholarship information yet since I am still waiting for the graduate division emails. Are we also supposed to fill out a separate financial component as well?
It's okay, I knew it would be a reach. (Still would have been nice to get in though haha.) I applied to their Environmental Sciences and Engineering department (MSPH), concentrating in Water Resources. The student services assistant from the department contacted me directly about the decision.Sorry to hear about your rejection 🙁, do you mind if I ask to what department/program you had applied?

Yeah, I applied to the joint MPH/MS Nutrition program, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with why it's taken so long for me to hear back. I sent in both apps on Jan 10. Found out by emailing one of the dudes that works in the admissions office about the status of my app.
In other news, just got in at UMass for MPH in Community Health, whoo! Probably won't go, since it's not near the top of my list (if I had to choose from what I have so far, it would be UTSPH), but still. 3 acceptances so far, fingers crossed I keep the streak going!
Me too! Mine was forwarded on Dec 1, so I'm outside 10 weeks. Super frustrating. My app for Hopkins was forwarded to the HPM dept on December 6 and I still haven't heard back from them! That's my #1 school and I want to know if I'm in before I start planning on Emory. If Emory comes in with a financial boost later this month that will push me even further to Atlanta.
I'm just outside the 10 weeks now. Anybody else in this boat?

On grad cafe it looks like a lot of people are hearing back from Hopkins so hopefully soon for you!
You could definitely look into it! although, I highly doubt it since post-bacc schedules are almost more credit hours than your first year of med school.Does anyone know if it's possible to do Columbia's post-bacc pre-med program while doing the MPH?
Yipes!! I do have roughly half of the pre-reqs, just need to get caught up on OChem, Physics, Genetics, and maybe Biochem. So maybe I could do it in the summer. You could definitely look into it! although, I highly doubt it since post-bacc schedules are almost more credit hours than your first year of med school.
Does anyone know if UMich gives funding to visit them?
Applied on Jan 5th. Just got the email message at 11pm last night that "Your status has changed in our system, log on to find out more!"How'd you find out about UMass? When did you apply?

Congrats on BU! Sorry to hear that about Emory, though. At least you've been accepted to some great schools so far!In at BU for epi! Annnnd a no from Emory. I swear every time I get an acceptance the universe knocks me down a few pegs alarmingly quickly. Oh well, still a happy camper. Sidenote: Emory didn't notify me at all, I checked OPUS after probably a week of not checking and the decision letter was just hangin out there.
I got offered a scholarship from UCLA with the email saying that I got admitted. I did not fill any other separate component for that. No update from Columbia so far about the scholarship.
Anybody know when the admitted students day is for UC Berkeley and Yale?
UC Berkeley sent out an email with just the date which is March 16th 🙂 we're supposed to get more details soon!

Hi KPZ, did you receive an email or did they use another form of communication?Just got rejected from Hopkins. Didn't expect to be accepted since I don't have any professional experience in public health, just glad the wait is over. Now I just have to hear from Harvard, which is likely to be a rejection as well.
An e-mail. It came at 6:25 PM, so it can come after the work day. I applied to the MPH through SOPHAS. I know other programs have different processes there.Hi KPZ, did you receive an email or did they use another form of communication?
