About me:
Undergrad School: International Applicant from Venezuela (Latin America).
Undergrad GPA/Major GPA: 3.1 according to WES (But graduated 1st of my class).
Major/Minor: Economics and Accounting (double mayor).
GRE (including date taken) or
Other Test (if applicable): V153/Q157/W3.5 - TOEFL 103. (I did awful on the GRE, it was my first standardized test...and I think I mixed up the writing tasks :s).
Experience/Research (please, be brief): 2 years working in the Department of Health from my city (health policy development, implementation and monitoring. Epi surveillance, and health personnel and budget management). 2 1/2 years working in finance company at managerial position. A lot of research experience (+3 years) within the economic field (3 publications). And +2 years of volunteering (1 year related to health prevention among a specific population from Petare - one of the biggest slums in Latin America).
Interested in: MPH in Health Policy and Management.
Applied: Columbia (12/01), Harvard (12/15), GWU (12/15), Boston University (01/05), Yale (01/15), NYU (02/01), CUNY (02/08), Rutgers (02/10), U of Miami (02/01). Weill Cornell MS in Health Policy and Economics (02/01).
Accepted: GWU (02/05 - Waitlisted for Scholarship), Boston University (02/18 - 15k scholarship), CUNY (03/12), and Weill Cornell MS in Health Policy and Economics (03/11).
Rejected: NYU (02/18).
Still waiting for Columbia, which is my top choice...but I heard a lot of people were requested to have an interview, which haven't happened to me...so at this point I am seriously losing hope :s.
