Has Yale sent out any new information on admitted students day?
I inquired about this a couple days ago and this is the information I was given
"Congratulations again on your admission to YSPH! While our schedules for the Open Houses have not be solidified just yet, I can give you an idea about what the day will look like.
Typically, the day starts around 8:30 with a coffee/light breakfast, followed by welcome remarks by the Associate Dean. We then hold round table discussions for 2 hours in the morning, and these round tables give you an overview of financial aid, career services, student internship examples, research topics, library resources and concentration opportunities. After the round tables, we go to our main classroom building for lunches with the department chairs. This gives you an opportunity to review the curriculum and meet faculty and current students. We will then hold a keynote on the opioid crisis, followed by a student panel that allows for a Q&A with a range of current students. Finally, the day ends with an overview of Life in New Haven (topics covered include housing and graduate student life) and a happy hour at Yale’s iconic Mory’s. The day usually ends around 4:30-5:00.
If for some reason you cannot make it to New Haven for one of our Open Houses, then I can certainly connect you with any desired resources remotely – for example, I can connect you with a Career Services representative, a Financial Aid representative and a current student, if that would be of interest.
In the meantime, please continue to check your email for updates – more information to come!"
