Hi guys,
I have a question regarding how some MPH programs give out grades. Some schools instead of having a regular alphabet scale for grades give out High pass/Pass/Honors/Fail as grades. How does this impact you when you want to apply for another graduate degree. I noticed some people along with myself are planning to attend Yale this fall this is how their grading system works and there is no GPA. I wanted to know if people can share their thoughts on the subject as quite a few people here want to go to Medical school, or law school or get a MBA.

MPH grades don't make much difference although if you flunked a bunch of courses (almost impossible unless you fall apart) that could hurt your chances of being admitted to a graduate program down the line.

Hihi!

I totally agree with Lizzy - the fact that you have an advanced degree is more important. Graduate school isn't designed to weed people out like undergrad - they want you to succeed. That being said, it's very difficult to do poorly while you're there, unless you never go to class, never crack open a book, etc. If you get your degree from a good school, I think it'll help you as long as you did decently well. You honestly don't need to be at the top of your class. I hope this helps!
