Hey everyone 🙂 I am a loooooooong time skulker of this site– lol like yearsss. But I wanted to share my stats for hope to anyone who has a low gpa like/struggled with finding what they have a passion for. I took Ochem 1 three times (got a C the third time), and took Ochem 2 five times (never passed smh)— all in the pursuit of medical school, and then veterinary school, neither of which I was really excited about attending. I’ve been in undergrad for so long, it felt never ending. After the last try I felt hopeless, but long story short I discovered my love for Public Health and I think I accurately portrayed my journey in my essays. I’m actually excited about my career now, it’s such a blessing, one that many take for granted. I’m so happy, and I hope everyone here gets accepted to their first choice!
Undergraduate School/School type: Top state school
Undergrad GPA/Major GPA: 3.23 (SOPHAS gpa was 3.14).
Major/minor: Neuroscience then switched to Biology then switched and stayed with *Animal Science* (lol just wanted to graduate at that point)
GRE(including date taken): Not taken! Probably the only thing about covid that I am thankful for is schools waiving this requirement. My sister didn’t have to take the SAT either, she was so happy lol
Experience/research: one long term (multiple years) and two short term (months) research experiences. Worked as a Veterinary Assistant for a long time. A variety of other retail jobs.
