Vinsanity there's no harm in calling. After I interviewied at stonybrook, I called them every 2 weeks to see if a decision had been made - they never did tell me on the phone but my interview was 9/26 and I finally got a writen reply (waitlist) like in February. Trust me, they don't care if you call. After that incident I got tired of waiting from other schools (pre-interview) and I called all of em (NYU, Hopkins, U Penn) - they had no problem telling me over the phone that i would not be getti an interview. Okay I know i'm going off subject but the point is, you've interviewed and its only fair that they tell you the status or at least tell you when you will find out.
Choker I'd call for you, but what would I say? I can act like I'm still waiting to get in and ask when i'm going to hear, but then I'll look like an idiot if they ask my name - and I was just down in the admissions office yesterday afternoon. Help me out here and I'll see what I can do. By the way, I don't "know" the admissions committee people as such - I just met with one before (and we keep running into each other in the hospital although he never seems to initially remember me) and was briefly introduced to the other on that particular day of the seminar. But WAIT a minute! CHoker the day we interviewed, Dean Kayne never showed up - I'm sure he was going to give us the spiel on the admissions process. So use that as your excuse - either call him directly or the office staff and explain that he wasn't there on the day of our interview and that you would just like to know what the process entails now that you have interviewed... i.e. when are decisions finalized.
