Is anyone on here a resident at any of these programs or know of one that I can contact? Please let me know, I am very interested in these programs.

I don't think that Multicare has a residency program anymore, if I remember correctly. I think that last year was their last year for taking residents. Please correct me if I am wrong. There is still one at Franciscan, which is also nearby.
For Madigan, I hope to be doing a CORE rotation there next year, and I do know that at least 1 of the residents is from AZPod. I will try to get some contact information tomorrow for them.

I talked to someone at Multicare earlier this year and they said that they were being re-evaluated by the hospital to make sure that the program fits with the mission of the hospital. I was told that they plan on the residency resuming. Of course I have not found any info on that nor have I had a response to my emails to those that were in charge of the residency. So I was curious if any one in the area knows?

I know as of last year they closed the program. I tried to email the past director to see if they were going to resume the program, b/c I was going to the Seattle area and was visiting programs, however he did not respond to my email. For now I would assume they are closed until further notice.

In the Clerkship Handbook that was just published the program says this:

A residency will not be available as the residency is discontinued after 2012. There are significant
clerkship positions where an individual will be trained at a very high level as a consequence. We look
forward to continuing our teaching to the new student doctors.
So it doesn't sound too promising for them to open it back up within the next few years.

My brother in law is an attending at the program and they are closing it down. Luckily the current residents can finish up their residencies. Too bad its closed, I considered it a sleeper program with excellent training.

Thats' too bad. It was in my top 5 choices for residency programs. Have to shuffle my externship list around a little now.
