It’s not a rule, it’s an opinion. I do bjj as a hobby, but I wouldn’t put it as an extracurricular. It’d just seem like a filler. Anyone can “do bjj.” On the other hand I’ve won some surf competitions, and I merged them all into one “accomplishment.” No interviewer even asked about it, so I doubt this is something that even matters (unless it’s a world record, D1 level, or on a professional circuit).Not sure where this crazy rule of you have to compete for it to count as an extra curricular comes from. OP it's something extra you are doing to everything else, it's an extracurricular.
