Hello,

I have an interview coming on 17th...but i have a problem. I cannot talk like second day already I got a bad cold .I tried to spray my throat with chloroseptic, inhaling heated vapor, gargle warm salt water, plus tylenol cold and cough syrup...DOES NOT WORK. I still cannot talk plus I literally feel like air goes down to my lungs and back.

I really dont want to reschedule my NYCOM interview, but I need at least get my voice back. What do u think I have to do to bring back my voice?
or i should go ahead and reshedule the interview...🙁

Well, I am not a doctor....yet! LOL! So, I don't really know. I don't think that there is much you can do. Try tea with honey and lemon, zinc, sleep, etc. All the usual. You still have some time for it to come back on its own. I don't think that there is much you can do to force that to happen. Today is only the 15. I would leave your interview and hope for the best. The personal interview at NYCOM is not that long and a relatively minor part of the day. I am sure that they will understand. Maybe you will get bonus points for showing up even though you were so sick. Good luck!😀 :luck:

Try this, it works!

Gargle with warm water and teaspoon of salt. Do this 3 times a day. Take lozenges too.

also I would like to add, drink tea with bit of ginger. It tastes great and is a proven remedy for cold related throat problems.

this works for me and it should for you. Just heat some water and drink it plainly. I hate it, but u got to do it. Do this four times a day and it should lessen the symptoms.

Another way that can help and this worked for my parents when they were in similar situations. Get some hot tea and put pure honey in it. Stir it thoroughly. I hope this works for you.

I dont think rescheduling your interview is a good idea. Go ahead and the Lord will bless you in it.

👍 I thought ginger was good, but I couldn't remember. I took herbology and we had this herbalist come in as a guest speaker. She put ginger in everything!😀

Thank you guys, I guess worst case scenarion I will whisper...

My interview was actually really weird. The guy was really tired and yawning. He apologized, but it was still funny. I didn't get anything about why I wanted to do osteopathic medicine. I had why NYCOM, research, tell me about yourself, and that was about it. The funniest thing was when the guy just stopped me mid-sentence and said, "I like you. I think I will give you a positive recommendation." LOL!😕 The whole thing was strange. I don't know. It wasn't bad. It was actually really easy, but different.🙄 😀 I am sure you will do well. Good luck!:luck: :luck:
