Hi all, I always got good help when I made major decisions from this forum. So I will give this a try.

I work in a small hospital X and a third party company Y. X does not think Y is ever doing good enough job because Y was brought in to save $$$. Y just makes the hospitalists comply every irrational thing X asks for so they don't lose the account. No one is standing up for the hospitalists. The hopitalists are being essentially driven to fail because no one cares whether the docs are sleeping, eating or healthy. This makes it for a very unhealthy and toxic work env. On the top of this, Y asks the hospitalists to constantly do more to bill more.

How common is this?

I am not sure what is so funny about this. Medicine has a very abusive culture and we do nothing but either quit the profession or just go along with it.

m is directly proportional, so any help you can get from m would be worthwhile. Decreasing B could also be helpful, but to a lesser extent.

Y = mX + B
