New Mexico still interviewing??

Does anyone have interview at New Mexico? I haven't heard anything from this school, maybe they are done with the interview process 🙁 . Anyone knows about this, please reply.

I called new mexico yesterday and they have someone there who basically just answers calls from anxious applicants (like me) She told me that they received so many applications this year that they had to do everything " a little differently". She then looked up my file and told me that my file was not completed except for my LORs are not in their computers yet but that my application had been sent this week to the admissions commitee. TO me, this sounds like they are pretty far behind. I have a freind that I work with and she has also heard nothing. If you look on the interview evaluations though, there are 3 people who have interviewed this year and I know of 2 people on this site who have interviews on 4/28. I don;t know how this bodes for the rest of us as I haven't quite figured out what percentage of the real world is represented on this website. Good luck, hope my rambling was helpful.

NM is running slow on getting stuff from pharmcas this year. They had just recieved my file March 20th and mailed me a letter (around March 28th) stating i had an interview April 28th. I heard they are extending interview dates until the end of May?!

Two students from my school got interview letters from UNM on the 7th or 8th of April...their interviews are on the 21st or somewhere near that time I believe...For the most part, when all of my buddies were getting interview letters at the same time and I got nothing, it pretty much meant that my rejection letter was on its way, which I feel is the case for UNM. Poop. 👎

I just got off the phone with UNM and they said they are going to make their final decision on interview invites by tomorrow. If you are invited, they will call and mail you an invite, b/c they are completing their interviews by the end of April. They also said this year they had ~ 1600 applicants.

I have already been accepted by UCSF, USC, Purdue Univ, USN, UOP, Univ of Colorado and the only school I have not even heard back from is University of New Mexico. Its amazing to me how unorganized they are. Even if they offered my an interview or even an acceptance letter, I would definitely reject them.

Just got a message on my phone from Kristin at New Mexico. I caled her since I received a letter dated the 20th of april and postmarked the 4th of may stating that my application is complete and that all decisions will be made by the end of April. On her message she basically said if you haven't received an invitation to interview yet, you will receive a regection letter soon. Thanks a lot guys! My friend who applied earlier than I did never received any kind of comunication from them. Guess they won't be on my list for next year. Also, according to the roll call, no one from this forum even was accepted. That strikes me as a little strange. Anyone else?

I think we should all just tell people how awful pharmacy school is.. like someone should just go around telling news stations, radios, the internet, anything they can.. PHARMACY IS NO GOOD!

Trust me, I have a plan... the more people that think pharmacy is not going to be a good career for them.. the more chances we all have to get in!

According to UNM, most of the acceptances are deliberated in mid-May after the finals week. Acceptance letters will be mailed out on May 22nd.

UT-Austin won't even be meeting for the last time until May 22. My friends who are waiting are also going crazy. You aren't alone in all of this 🙂 .
